Data deletion instructions

1. Overview

This page explains how to delete your SupporterSwap account and the personal data associated with it. Meta requires apps that use Facebook Login to provide clear deletion instructions; these steps apply whether you signed in with Facebook, Google, or email.

2. How to request deletion

Send an email to:

privacy@supporterswap.com

Include all of the following so we can find the right account:

• Subject line: "Data deletion request"
• The email address on your SupporterSwap account
• The name shown on your profile
• Optional: your home club and approximate signup method (Facebook, Google, or email)

Please send the request from the email address tied to the account when you can. If that is not possible, tell us why and provide enough detail for us to verify ownership.

3. What we delete

When we process a verified deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymize:

• Your account profile (name, short name, email, avatar, preferences)
• Payment method records and handles you saved
• Auth identities linking Facebook, Google, or magic-link sign-in to your account
• Notification preferences and similar account settings
• Season ticket proof images still in storage

Active listings under your account will be removed. Message threads and transaction history may be anonymized rather than fully erased when we need a minimal record to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Where we retain a record, it will no longer identify you as an active user profile on the Service.

4. Timing

We aim to confirm receipt within a few business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying the request, unless a longer period is required by law or to complete an open safety investigation. We will email you when the request is completed or if we need more information.

5. If you use Facebook Login

Removing SupporterSwap from Facebook does not automatically delete data already stored in our systems. To fully delete your SupporterSwap data, email privacy@supporterswap.com as described above.

To disconnect Facebook Login itself:

• Open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings
• Go to Apps and websites (or "Business integrations," depending on Facebook's current labels)
• Select SupporterSwap and remove or delete it

After removal, Facebook Login will no longer sign you into SupporterSwap until you authorize the app again. Your SupporterSwap account data still needs the email request above if you want it erased.

6. Future in-app deletion

We plan to offer self-serve account deletion in account settings. Until that ships, email requests to privacy@supporterswap.com are the supported method and are sufficient for Meta app review and for your rights under our privacy policy.
