Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of SupporterSwap at supporterswap.com and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

If you do not agree, do not use SupporterSwap. These drafts are meant to unblock platform reviews and set clear expectations; they are not a substitute for legal advice, and we may update them as the product matures.

2. What SupporterSwap is

SupporterSwap is a peer-to-peer marketplace that helps supporters list, discover, and coordinate the sale of general-admission match tickets within their supporter section. We provide tools for listings, messaging, trust signals, and coordination. We are not a ticket broker, not a party to the ticket sale, and not the club or league that issued the tickets.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person should not create accounts to evade a ban, suspension, or review.
• We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk.

4. Tickets, transfers, and club rules

You are solely responsible for confirming that any ticket you list or buy can be transferred under the club's, league's, and ticket issuer's rules. SupporterSwap does not guarantee that a transfer will succeed, that a listing is authentic, or that a buyer will be admitted to the match.

• Sellers must have a genuine right to transfer the tickets they list.
• Buyers and sellers arrange payment and transfer directly with each other.
• Face-value information on the Service is community-reported and may be incomplete or wrong.
• Listing above face value is allowed when disclosed by the product, but abusive pricing or scams are not.

5. Payments

SupporterSwap does not process ticket payments and does not hold funds in escrow. Buyers and sellers choose how to pay (for example Venmo or similar apps) and bear the risk of that payment. Never send money to someone you do not trust. Report suspected fraud through the in-product report tools when available, or email privacy@supporterswap.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scam, impersonate, harass, or threaten other users
• Post fake listings, manipulate ratings, or game face-value reports
• Harvest payment handles, emails, or other personal data from the Service
• Use the Service to scalp in a way that violates applicable law or venue rules you are bound by
• Interfere with the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content
• Use automated scraping or bots that burden or circumvent the Service

7. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit (such as listing details, messages, and profile text). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.

8. Moderation

We may remove listings, hide content, suspend accounts, ban users, or take other action we reasonably believe is needed to protect the community or the Service. We are not obligated to review every listing or message in advance.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that tickets will be delivered, accepted, or valid.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SupporterSwap and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost tickets, denied entry, or payment disputes between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SupporterSwap and its operators from claims arising out of your listings, transfers, payments, content, or violation of these terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply. Courts in Franklin County, Ohio, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be resolved informally, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and request account deletion.
